Flower Garden of Reconciliation

In honour of Truth and Reconciliation Day, our school came together to create a powerful and meaningful visual tribute: a Flower Garden of Reconciliation. Every class participated in this school-wide project, with students tracing and cutting out their handprints on orange, yellow, or white paper. These handprints were arranged in circles to form vibrant flowers, each representing unity, remembrance, and hope.

At the heart of each flower, students and teachers shared personal messages about what Orange Shirt Day means to them—messages that speak to the importance of remembering, learning, and committing to reconciliation.

The finished garden display is a stunning representation of our collective commitment to the message that Every Child Matters. We are incredibly proud of the creativity, thoughtfulness, and care that went into each flower. This project not only engaged every student and staff member, but also served as a visual reminder of the strength of our school community and our dedication to truth and reconciliation.
